We are on Our Way Home

Thank you all for your prayers. We visited the director of the SDA office today with a lawyer. We spent 2 hours pleading our case. The paper trail for Marina was all revealed, mistakes were made and the door is shut.

We are trying to book tickets home. Marina stays.

We praise the Lord of using us as her instrument to get her papers right. We are exhausted and sad, excited and joyful. Yana is sad today too. She was hoping on behave of Marina.

Please continue to pray for Marina, we are hopeful that some laws will change soon to allow us to take her home.

Thank you all again, I am writting from the U.S. embassy and don't want to stay on the computer for long.

I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you can find someone in country that will continue to work on Marina's behalf, her heart must be broken at this point and she must be feeling very lonely and isolated now you are leaving Ukraine. I hope you have a safe and uneventful journey home, I know this has been both a joyful and a frustrating time for you

Rick and Fran,
We are so excited that you are coming home but know it is a bittersweet homecoming. We are thrilled for Yana and will look forward to the day we can welcome Marina as well. Vanya is here talking with me and say he misses you and Giny and will come over soon so Giny can lick his sock (?). See you soon :)

Dear Fran, Rick and Yana,

Our hearts and prayers are with you. We're excited you're finally coming home - with beautiful, sweet Yana! She is so precious and we are looking forward to getting to know her better! I know she will feel welcomed by our ever-increasing group of old and new Ukrainian friends.

I can empathize with your bittersweet feelings as you leave. We left in 2002 with an ecstatic Angelina, and a tearful Elisabeth left behind.

We're praying for a safe trip, a smooth adjustment at home, and of course, God's comfort for Marina.

We love you,
the Hathaway's

Dear Rahn's,
This is JUST a comma, not a period on Marina's journey home.
We will continue to believe for God's best, which He wants to give all of you.
Love,
The Schweickert's

So, does this mean that you guys are not able to come back for Marina soon b/c of the mistakes in paperwork and all the other bureaucracy?

Dear Fran, Rick and Yana,
"H-o-m-e" is a wonderful 4-letter word! Looking forward to seeing you soon. Have a safe journey.

We continue to pray for Marina...God bless you for bringing her case "to light." Remember...by perseverance the snail reached the ark!

peace and love,
